Previous to becoming a medical transcriptionist, I spent 10 years in the call center trade where I learned valuable skills that continue to help me today. The last 5 years of my call center experience, I was a consumer advocate in charge of a variety of day-to-day tasks. I acted as customer service for the phone and web retail division of a well-known luggage company. I served other clients as an editor for their e-commerce orders, looking for errors in addresses and gift messages.
I started in this business fresh out of training as a subcontracted employee for a local occupational healthcare clinic in May of 2005. I then picked up a chiropractic account in February of 2006 along with some temporary work filling-in for another transcriptionist in the area.
I possess extensive experience in a variety of medical fields:
-
Cardiology
-
Internal medicine
-
Occupational health
-
Chiropractic
-
Orthopaedics
-
Physical therapy
-
Ophthalmology
-
Family medicine
-
Pain management
-
Urology
-
Neurology
-
Otolaryngology
I survive and live by the AAMT Book of Style in order to meet HIPAA guidelines. I strive for perfection, while helping my clients save time and money.
I consider myself an intelligent, highly motivated individual who is able to work with no supervision. I am able to type up to 70 wpm without macros and can produce up to 250 lines an hour.
